Tonight the first group of students stepped up and took one for the team.
Ali G. was the first to present. Of course computers never seem to work when you need them to but Ali was a trooper. She discussed what she would be doing to help students learn place value.
Jessica was next to present and her Unit looked really nice. She will be doing her unit over recycling. I like the idea of finding ways of recycling all of the plastic bottles. It is a great way to make it relevant to the students as well.
Angela went last I am afraid I missed a large part of hers because my computer kept on going in and out. I did here some discussion on how to write the Objective and how to write the modeling. This was all very helpful to me and information that I was needing. I am still impressed that these ladies were willing to step up and put themselves out there.
I thought that all three did very well and I am impressed that they stepped up and went even though they were nervous. One thing I am nervous about is presenting my lesson plan and it be completely off. One thing that is keeping me optimistic is that this is not for a grade. So the feedback we get back will assist with getting full points on the second presentation.
ReplyDeleteAll of them done a really good job. You could tell where they started and where they wanted to end with their lessons. We will all make mistakes I'm sure when writing out our plans but once we get the hang of it I am sure we will think its a piece of cake. This is just very nerve racking for some who have never done this type of thing before.
